After working with the BBC on multiple other projects including time lapse of the night sky on the Isle of Man, we were asked to come back and capture the night skies above the Lake District.

They were producing a section for Inside Out NW, focussing on the Lake Districts work to gain Dark Sky Reserve status.

They really wanted to show how beautiful the night sky can be and knew that time lapse was the perfect medium.

On one cold night, we set out to spend the night under the stars. The hills were still covered in snow, and Paul wrapped up warm whilst the cameras clicked away all night.

Luckily, we were blessed with a clear night, and were able to capture multiple sequences showcasing the stars and milkyway moving overhead.
